The RSSU Blind and Visually Impaired Fast Chess Cup is finished with the victory of international grandmaster Yury Meshkov. The chess player from Smolensk scored 7,5 points in 9 rounds and outran two chess players with identical number of points due to tie-breaks. Alexey Smirnov (Perm region) is a silver medalist, and Stanislav Babrykin (Moscow region) won a bronze medal.
It should be added that the tournament was held for the first time under the umbrella of the Moscow Open festival, the All-Russian Society of blind and visually impaired people provided support in the organization of the event.
