18-year old Sergey Tunik (Kemerov region) is the winner of the RSSU Amateur Chess Cup within the frames of the 2017 Moscow Open. He came to finish with 8 of 9 points.
Five chess players scored 7,5 points. The tie-breaks awarded Gleb Apryshko (Moscow) with a silver medal, and Bibek Thing (Nepal) – with a bronze medal.
Dmitry Fraiman (St. Petersburg), Yuri Malinin (Leningrad region) and Ruslan Murtazin (Tatarstan) remain behind the medal winners.
It should be said that this tournament has the biggest number of participants from all the festival tournaments, around 379 chess players took part in this edition of the competition.
