The RSSU Women’s Veteran Cup is finished with an impressive victory by Galina Strutinskaia (Moscow). A brilliant result – 8,5 of 9 points – allowed the chess player to clinch the first place one round before the end of the competition.

Female international master Elena Sazonova (Tyumen) with 6,5 points is on the second place. 6 points were scored by: Ludmila Saunina (Sverdlov region), Elena Fatalitbekova and Elena Krasenkova (both from Moscow). According to the tie-breaks Saunina is the bronze medalist.

We should note that the women’s veteran tournament was held within the frames of the Moscow Open festival for the first time.
