The grandmaster from Feodosia (Crimea) is the winner of the 2017 Moscow Open Women’s Cup of Russia, by showing a phenomenal result – 8,5 of possible 9 points. Silver medalist Alina Kashlinskaya (Moscow) remains one point behind the winner (7,5 points). She is the only one, who managed to play in a draw with Gritsayeva.
Dina Belenkaya (St. Petersburg) with 7 points clinched the third place. The chess player managed to win all her last three games.
Olga Babiy (Ukraine), Alisa Galliamova (Kazan), Anastasia Bodnaruk (St. Petersburg), Aleksandra Goryachkina (Salekhard), Irina Vasilevich (Moscow), Tatiana Khlichkova (Novosibirsk), Iulija Osmak (Ukraine), Marina Nechaeva (Stavropol) and Evgeniya Doluhanova (Ukraine) scored 6,5 points.
The competition was played in the Swiss system format in nine rounds.
